The V-Virus (Valkyrie Virus) is a different strain of the A-Virus. However, this strain is not currently seen in the series, only it's more evolved form known as the VR-Virus.
The V-Virus still divides the infected women into either Liberators or Extars, however while the Extar still transforms into a weapon it differs from the A-Virus in that the form of weapon they turn into actually depends on the Liberator that wields them.
Limitations[]
Without their partner, a Liberator or Extar cannot usually operate as the Liberator would have no weapon or the Extar would have nobody to wield them.
