An Extar is a young woman who has been infected with the A-Virus or V-Virus and become a Valkyrie. They appear in both Valkyrie Drive Mermaid and Valkyrie Drive Siren.
A-Virus Version[]
Those who become Extars after being infected with the A-Virus are able to transform their bodies into weapons or armor when they become excited, and then they can be wielded by a Valkyrie that became a Liberator.
The form of the weapon depends on the Extar, and it's power depends on their connection with their Liberator.
V-Virus Version[]
Those who become Extars after being infected with the V-Virus are also able to transform their bodies into weapons or armor when they become excited, but unlike the A-Virus the form their body takes is instead dependent on the Liberator.
The strength of the Extar's transformed state still depends on their connection with their Liberator.
Hybrids[]
Rarely seen with the A-Virus or V-Virus, but present in all Valkyries infected with the VR-Virus is the ability to be a Hybrid who can serve as either a Liberator or an Extar depending on the situation.
